ROAD works to improve access to essential, equitable, and inclusive health services for vulnerable and underserved populations, including women, children, persons with disabilities, and displaced communities. Our health interventions focus on preventive care, maternal and child health, nutrition, mental health, and emergency medical support. Through partnerships with local health actors, we strengthen community health systems and promote healthy, resilient communities capable of withstanding health-related shocks
Goal
To improve the health, nutrition, and well-being of vulnerable communities in Kenya and the Horn of Africa.
Objectives
- To strengthen the capacity of local health facilities to provide comprehensive healthcare, including maternal and child health, mental health, non-communicable diseases, HIV/AIDS, and TB prevention.
- To increase community awareness of healthy eating habits and nutritional practices to prevent malnutrition and diet-related Non-Communicable Diseases.
- To expand access to mental health services and reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues within vulnerable communities.
- To enhance access to HIV/AIDS and TB interventions for vulnerable populations.
