In partnership with IOM, ROAD undertook a vital water access project in El Barde District, Bakol Region, aimed at improving the community’s resilience to water scarcity. The intervention included the renovation of a key borehole and emergency water trucking, ensuring that residents—especially women, children, and the elderly—could access clean, safe, and reliable water during times of acute need.
This initiative not only addressed immediate water shortages but also contributed to longer-term water security in a highly drought-prone region. By restoring essential infrastructure and delivering water to remote areas, the project significantly improved the health, dignity, and daily lives of hundreds of households in El Barde.
