The Sustainable Model Program (SMP), funded by Danida through the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), has been pivotal in supporting the growth and sustainability of local organizations in Kenya, particularly those in resource-constrained environments. Through its comprehensive approach, the program has strengthened critical areas such as financial management, strategic planning, organizational development and governance, and overall institutional resilience. Communication and leadership have also been enhanced as crosscutting outcomes, reinforcing the internal capacity and external engagement of participating organizations. As the SMP program enters its final year in 2025, the journey of ROAD, as an organization based in Garissa County, exemplifies the tangible results and transformative impact of this support. As a continuing beneficiary of the Sustainable Model Program (SMP), funded by Danida through DRC, we are proud to showcase the key outcomes that have significantly enhanced our organizational capacity and strengthened our long-term sustainability.
