This thematic area focuses on empowering communities to actively participate in governance and advocate for transparency, inclusion, and accountability at both national and county levels. Through civic education, dialogue, and capacity building, ROAD works to foster stronger collaboration between citizens, state institutions, and civil society, while also enhancing community resilience against radicalization and violent extremism. The ultimate goal is to promote peaceful, inclusive, and well-governed societies that support long-term stability and development.

Goals

  2. To promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development.

Objectives

  2. To amplify the communities’ demands for improved governance, transparency, and accountability of national and county authorities.
  3. To foster collaboration between state and non-state actors on good governance and service delivery.
  4. To strengthen the communities’ capabilities to resist radicalization and violent extremism.
