With funding from IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, ROAD implemented a life-saving humanitarian intervention targeting both the refugee population in Dadaab and vulnerable members of the host community. This emergency project aimed to reduce the devastating impact of prolonged drought by providing timely food assistance and emergency medical support to those most affected.
The intervention focused on reaching 3,000 of the most vulnerable households, each averaging six members, selected based on assessed needs and malnutrition levels. Through this initiative, ROAD contributed to mitigating hunger, improving health outcomes, and protecting livelihoods during a critical period of food insecurity. This project reflects our continued commitment to serving communities in crisis with compassion, speed, and impact.
