SIDA – Kenya Crisis Response (completed)

The Rights Organization for Advocacy and Development (ROAD) has embarked on the implementation the “Kenya Crisis Response SIDA HPA” project, which aims to ensure a dignified life for all individuals affected by displacement in Kenya, including refugees, IDPs, and hosting communities. The project operates in Garissa County, specifically in Balambala and Dadaab Sub counties, with a focus on addressing key issues such as Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and the impact of drought on vulnerable populations. During this period,

ROAD is committed to prioritizing assistance for the 100 most vulnerable households, specifically targeting at risk women, GBV survivors, persons with disabilities, marginalized groups, minority clans severely affected by drought, and those who have lost all their livestock. Our intervention will focus on providing these households with essential livestock restocking assistance, ensuring each targeted household receives 6 goats. In response to the food insecurity challenges faced in Dadaab refugee camp, where access to land and water is limited, ROAD is implementing an innovative and solution-oriented approach known as Multi-Storey Gardening (MSG).
