Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
The Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) program aims to enhance access to clean and safe water, adequate sanitation facilities, and improved hygiene practices within ROAD’s areas of operation. Guided by the goal of ensuring sustainable and community-driven WASH services, the program focuses on increasing the availability of safe water infrastructure, promoting universal access to reliable sanitation, and encouraging the adoption of effective hygiene behaviors. Central to this initiative is the empowerment of communities to take ownership of water resource management and sanitation services, fostering long-term resilience and health outcomes. By strengthening local capacities and advocating for sustainable practices, ROAD seeks to create environments where clean water and proper sanitation are not a privilege, but a standard for all.
